Our Services
At Delta Surveyors, we provide comprehensive surveying, loss assessment, and valuation services across a wide range of risks and industries. Our expertise covers fire and property losses, loss of profit and business interruption, marine cargo, engineering and machinery-related losses, asset and property valuation, and other specialized assignments. We combine technical expertise, detailed investigation, and a thorough understanding of insurance and commercial requirements to assess losses accurately and objectively. From initial site inspection and documentation to evaluation and detailed reporting, our team works to provide clear, reliable, and well-supported assessments that help insurers, businesses, and stakeholders make informed decisions.

Fire & Property
Our Fire & Property loss assessment services cover damage arising from fire and a wide range of allied and natural perils, including explosion, lightning, storm, flood, inundation and other insured events. We undertake detailed site inspections to understand the nature and extent of damage to buildings, plant and machinery, stock, contents and other insured property. Our assessment involves examination of the circumstances of the loss, physical verification of damaged assets, evaluation of reinstatement or replacement requirements, and scrutiny of supporting records and documents. We focus on establishing the extent of the admissible loss through a systematic and well-documented assessment, enabling clear and technically supported claim evaluation.

Loss of Profit
Loss of Profit, or Business Interruption, claims require an understanding not only of the physical damage but also of how the incident has affected the business's operations and earnings. Our team assesses the financial impact arising from an insured interruption, examining factors such as turnover, gross profit, production, sales trends, working expenses, indemnity periods and the period required for restoration of operations. We analyse financial records and operational data to distinguish the loss attributable to the insured event from normal business fluctuations and other factors. Our approach combines financial analysis with an understanding of the underlying property or engineering loss to arrive at a reasoned assessment of consequential financial loss.

Marine Cargo
Our Marine Cargo services cover the assessment of loss or damage to goods while in transit by sea, road, rail or air, including multimodal transportation. We undertake surveys involving physical damage, shortage, pilferage, contamination, wet damage, handling damage and other transit-related losses. The assessment includes inspection of the cargo and packaging, review of transport and shipping documents, investigation of the circumstances leading to the loss, and evaluation of the extent and nature of damage. Our detailed assessment helps establish the condition of the cargo, the cause and circumstances of loss, and the quantum of the claim based on available evidence and applicable policy terms.

Valuation
Our valuation services provide independent assessment of assets for insurance and other business requirements. We undertake valuation of land and buildings, plant and machinery, equipment and other tangible assets, considering their physical condition, age, specifications, usage, location and prevailing market conditions. Depending on the purpose of the assignment, our assessment may consider replacement cost, reinstatement value, market value, depreciated value or other appropriate valuation bases. Through physical inspection, technical evaluation and supporting market and documentary analysis, we provide structured valuation reports designed to give stakeholders a clear and reliable understanding of the value of the assets under consideration.

Engineering
Our Engineering loss assessment services address technically complex claims involving machinery, plant, equipment and engineering projects. We undertake assessments for machinery breakdown, electronic equipment, boilers and pressure plants, as well as project-related risks such as Contractor's All Risks (CAR) and Erection All Risks (EAR). Our assessments involve inspection of damaged equipment and installations, understanding the sequence and cause of failure, evaluating repair or replacement requirements, and reviewing technical records, quotations, invoices and other relevant documentation. By combining engineering knowledge with systematic loss assessment, we aim to establish the nature, extent and quantum of the loss with technical clarity.

Miscellaneous
Our Miscellaneous services cover a diverse range of specialised insurance claims that require focused investigation and assessment. These include liability claims, Bankers' Indemnity claims, burglary claims and event-related insurance claims, along with other specialised risks. Liability assignments involve examination of the circumstances of an incident, the alleged liability, supporting evidence and the nature and extent of the resulting loss or responsibility. Bankers' Indemnity claims may involve losses arising from events such as fraud, dishonesty, forgery or other insured financial risks. Burglary claims involve assessment of the circumstances of the incident, verification of affected property and stock, and evaluation of the resulting loss. Event-related claims require consideration of the specific circumstances of cancellation, disruption, damage or other insured events and their resulting financial implications. Each assignment is approached on its individual facts, with emphasis on evidence, documentation and the applicable policy provisions.
